A roughly circular enclosure of loose stones with a diameter of about 48', formed by clearing the loose rock from a circular area and piling it to form a rampart. There is a gap on the SE side and a large boulder near the centre. (2)

NY 52881929 Ring cairn on Knipescar Common. The monument consists of a ring bank of limestone boulders and rubble up to 2.5m wide and 0.9m high that encloses an oval internal area measuring c15m by 11m. There is a limestone block at the centre of the ring cairn and other blocks are scattered on the south-west and north-west quadrants; scheduled. (4) |
